About Vuselela

Rooted in Diepsloot.
Built around people.

Vuselela Ulwazi Lwakho Drop-In Centre is a community-based non-profit organisation bringing care, information and connection closer to home.

For a positive mindset

Care begins with
connection.

Vuselela Ulwazi Lwakho means “Revive your knowledge”.

Vuselela grew from an initiative by professional nurse Sr. Cecilia S. Sato, who left hospital work in 2000 to serve the Diepsloot community. Sharing knowledge about HIV and supporting people with dignity remain central to the organisation’s story.

Our work spans HIV testing and counselling services, health promotion, education and edutainment, support groups, and care for orphaned and vulnerable children.

We are based in Diepsloot. Contact the centre to learn about available programmes, arrange a visit or discuss how you can support the organisation.
